ਸੋਰਠਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੧ ਤਿਤੁਕੇ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ਕਿਸੁ ਹਉ ਜਾਚੀ ਕਿਸ ਆਰਾਧੀ ਜਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਸੀ ॥
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਵਡਾ ਵਡੇਰਾ ਸੋ ਸੋ ਖਾਕੂ ਰਲਸੀ ॥
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਭਵ ਖੰਡਨੁ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਦੇਸੀ ॥੧॥
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਤੀ ਰਾਜਾ ॥
ਮਾਣਸੁ ਬਪੁੜਾ ਕਿਆ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਕਿਆ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਮੁਹਤਾਜਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਭੂਖ ਗਵਾਈ ॥
ਐਸਾ ਧਨੁ ਦੀਆ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੈ ਨਿਖੁਟਿ ਨ ਕਬ ਹੀ ਜਾਈ ॥
ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੨॥
📖 HINDI TRANSLATION
सोरठि महला ५ घरु १ तितुके ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
किसु हउ जाची किस आराधी जाँ सभु को कीता होसी ॥
जो जो दीसै वडा वडेरा सो सो खाकू रलसी ॥
निरभउ निरंकारु भव खंडनु सभि सुख नव निधि देसी ॥१॥
हरि जीउ तेरी दाती राजा ॥
माणसु बपुड़ा किआ सालाही किआ तिस का मुहताजा ॥ रहाउ ॥
जिनि हरि धिआइआ सभु किछु तिस का तिस की भूख गवाई ॥
ऐसा धनु दीआ सुखदातै निखुटि न कब ही जाई ॥
अनदु भइआ सुख सहजि समाणे सतिगुरि मेलि मिलाई ॥२॥
🌍 ENGLISH TRANSLATION
Sorat’h, Fifth Mehl:
Who should I beg from, and whom should I worship, when all are created by the One Lord?
Whoever appears great and powerful will eventually merge back into dust.
The Fearless and Formless Lord destroys fear and bestows all comforts and the nine treasures.
O Lord, Your gifts alone bring true satisfaction.
Why should I praise or depend on powerless humans?
One who meditates on the Lord receives everything; his hunger is removed.
The Giver of peace blesses him with such wealth that never runs out.
Through the True Guru, one merges into divine bliss and natural peace.
🪔 MEANING / VYAKHYA (EDITORIAL EXPLANATION)
This morning’s Hukamnama teaches that true fulfilment does not come from worldly power, wealth, or human praise. Every human, regardless of status, ultimately returns to dust. Only the Nirankar (Formless One) is eternal and capable of granting lasting peace.
Guru Arjan Dev Ji reminds us that those who meditate on the Divine Name are freed from inner hunger and restlessness. The wealth of Naam never diminishes and leads the soul into sehaj—a state of balanced spiritual calm.
Dependence on people leads to disappointment, while reliance on Waheguru leads to contentment and freedom.
